Dr. Dawn Allen, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, NBC-HWC
Director of Operations
Dawn is the owner of Dawn Allen Consulting, LLC and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Health and Wellness coach. She practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years primarily in an orthopedic setting and as an instructor in higher education.
After the development of her own personal health problems not resolved via the traditional medical model, she began her own personal healing journey. This led her to The Integrative Women’s Health Institute where she was introduced to a holistic whole body wellness approach. This changed her entire approach to wellness for both her and in the work she does with her clients.
She then went on to study Functional Medicine from the School of Applied Functional Medicine which deepened her system approach to helping women reconnect with wellness using a root cause approach. After several years of working with clients, she found her true love and was helping women shift their mindset and let go of preconditioned expectations that often lead to burn out and chronic illness.
This led her to become a certified NLP practitioner and life coach through The Life Coach School. Her healing journey brought her back to IWHI where she can incorporate all her loves and strengths by serving the role of a master coach and director of operations. When she is not working, she enjoys boating, traveling, weightlifting, reading, and strategizing.
