There is an easier, more natural, more effective way to relieve pelvic and sexual pain than medication and surgery.

The sad truth is that most doctors don’t know anything about nutrition for pelvic pain.

Pelvic floor physical therapy is often a key to healing pelvic or sexual pain, but if you've already tried it and it only brought you a little relief, or your relief doesn't last, you and your therapist are missing these key nutrition and mind-body strategies.

(When I teach these ideas to pelvic floor physical therapists, they are constantly having a-ha moments!  Saying, "Yes! This is the missing piece!")

There's a better way to heal pelvic and sexual pain, but until now no one has brought all the pieces together in one place.

About Jessica Drummond, MPT, CCN, CHC

Hi!  I’m Jessica Drummond, MPT, CCN, CHC, Founder and CEO of The Integrative Women's Health Institute. My personal burnout backstory – or, why I have so many letters after my name…

It was August of 2009, my fatigue and physical and emotional burnout were so intense that I literally found myself on my butt in tears with my toddler in my lap and the glimmer of a new pregnancy in my womb on the floor of the Raleigh Durham Airport.  I did not even have the endurance to get on that plane with my 4-year-old daughter and move (again!) to Houston, Texas.

It was time to find another way!

I embarked on a major health quest, determined to get to the root of my overwhelming fatigue. Most doctors tried to put me on antidepressants, or suggested warm baths & naps (gee, really?) It wasn’t until one thoughtful doctor tested my adrenals that we found the real culprit — my hormones were completely haywire. And my body was burned out!

For the next year, I learned how to heal myself.  But, in order to take this new understanding to my colleagues and our patients, I knew that I needed more training.  So, I went back to school and was trained as a health coach at both The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and Duke Integrative Medicine.  Then, I got my certification in clinical nutrition (CCN) from the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board.  And, continued on to doctoral studies in holistic nutrition.

Creating my method for healing myself took years of research, trial and error. Then I began to test my method- combining my years of experience as a pelvic floor physical therapist with my new understanding of holistic nutrition, and the results were phenomenal for women with women’s health, and pelvic and sexual health conditions like interstitial cystitis (IC) and other bladder pain syndromes, endometriosis, PCOS, irregular, painful, and heavy periods, painful sex, low libido, painful ovarian cysts, fibroids, post-surgical pain, orthopedic spine, pelvic, and hip pain, bone loss, postpartum and perimenopausal mood issues, insomnia, stubborn weight gain, and chronic fatigue.

A woman who was on the edge of having a hysterectomy experienced complete pain relief.  A colleague who had chronic back, hip and pelvic pain from old injuries not only found pain relief, but also lost weight, improved her digestion, slept better than she had ever slept in her life, and best of all she began to enjoy her husband and children again!

Over the course of 3 years, the healing I witnessed shocked me.  One of my clients overcame PCOS, and got pregnant!  Another healed dramatically fast from a wrist fracture and reversed her diabetes.  And, many women obtained the natural hormone balance that I discovered for myself, resulting in naturally pain-free periods and the disappearance of ovarian cysts, all with the only side effects being more energy, weight loss, better sleep, and more joy! I

am living proof.  Today I am healthier than I have ever been.  I haven’t experienced any pelvic pain in nearly two years.  No cramping.  No cysts.  Nothing.  My periods are regular and pain free.  Plus, I do work that I love, and I have more than enough energy left at the end of the day to enjoy my family and my life! Founding The The Integrative Pelvic Health Institute™ is my way of sharing the tools and perspectives I have learned along the way with my colleagues who strive to be on the leading edge as the fields of Functional and Personalized Nutrition and Medicine grow and expand to touch every aspect of our healthcare system.  Since there is so much suffering from pelvic and women’s health challenges globally, and I can’t reach every woman myself, I have decided to train practitioners in my integrative methods, and share my experiences with them so that every woman on the planet who seeks innovative tools, support, and a strong healing community can find it.
