multiple people putting their hands together in a circle of celebration

You’re sitting with your journal or vision board…

On your list is “Bring in 1 million dollars (euros, pounds, etc.) of revenue in my practice this year.”

Hitting 7-figures in your practice is an exciting and potentially motivating goal (though for you, seeing it on the page might immediately induce freeze or panic in your nervous system.)

You’ll quickly learn that one of the more important factors in achieving a 7-figure practice is setting and achieving specific, challenging, and motivating goals.

You’ll also quickly learn that narrowing your focus to as few goals as possible, and getting skilled support is essential.

But what does it take to set goals that will truly help you reach this level of success? And once you have your goals in place, how can you stay motivated and on track to achieve them?

Here are seven steps to help you set and achieve your goals as the leader of a highly successful practice:

"Seven Steps to Help You Set and Achieve Your Goals as the Leader of a Highly Successful Practice"

1. Set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals: This means that your goals should be clearly defined, with concrete steps to take and a timeline for completion. For example, "I will increase my patient roster by 10% in the next 3 months by implementing a referral program and attending local networking events."

2. Eliminate distractions. Get crystal clear on the one thing that it will take to bring in 7-figures of revenue (such as working with 10 private clients per month, or having 500 members each month in my health coaching group program, or doing 100 high ticket corporate speaking events this year.) The more relentless you are focusing on only one actionable goal, the easier it will be to achieve.

3. Create a plan: Once you have your very few, relentless goals in place, it's important to create a plan to achieve them. Your plan will include specific actions you will take every day/ week, deadlines for completing tasks, and any resources, education, or support you will need.

4. Track your progress: As you work towards your goals, it's important to regularly check in and see how you're doing. This will help you stay motivated and make any necessary adjustments to your plan. Don’t track too many metrics. Track the fewest metrics necessary to be sure that you’re on track to achieve your most important goals.

5. Stay flexible: While it's important to have a plan in place, it's also important to be open to making adjustments as needed. Be willing to pivot if your initial strategy isn't working or if you encounter unexpected challenges.

6. Celebrate your wins with your coaching community: It's important to recognize and celebrate your achievements along the way. This is motivating, and will keep it fun! You spend so much of your life working, that it’s important that it be fun and nourishing to you. If you lose the joy, you won’t be serving your clients well. It’s non-negotiable that you stay connected to your coach and coaching community who will encourage you, help you to troubleshoot when you get stuck, and celebrate your every success with you!

7. Keep learning: To achieve a 7-figure practice, you'll need to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and developments. Make continuing education a priority and invest in your own professional development.

With these steps in mind, you can set and achieve the goals that will help you build a successful, 7-figure practice.

Stay focused, stay connected to a community who celebrates you, and take only the most important, consistent actions towards your goals every day – the results will be worth it.
